MICROBLADING vs. OMBRE POWDER

Q: What is Microblading? Vs. What is Ombre Powder?

Microblading is a semi permanent beauty technique of tattooing individual hair strokes with a handheld tool with an attached micro-needle that slightly punctures the top layer of the skin. Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, microblading artists hand draw each hair stroke to match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows. The results? Gorgeous, natural looking fuller brows.

Ombre Powder is also an semi permanent beauty technique of tattooing creating a full shaded brow using a machine that shades in ALL sparse areas with pigment to create a full darker brow. This technique gives the permanent illusion of makeup brows. The results? You will literally wake up with PERFECT brows everyday. This procedure also has an even lesser chance of scarring than microblading does & lasts longer.

Q: How long does microblading & ombre powder brows last?

Microblading lasts 1-2 years with annual touch ups and Ombre Powder lasts 2-3 years with annual touch ups.

Q: Does it hurt?

Most clients report little to no pain! We use a topical numbing anesthetic before the procedure to numb the treated areas.

Q: When should I schedule my touch ups?

All clients MUST book a perfecting touch-up within 4-6 weeks of their first treatment, this touch up is included in initial price. After this all following touch-ups should be booked annually, prices are based upon time of booking.

Q: Who is ineligible for Microblading / Ombre Powder?

We do not provide microblading for anyone: under 18 years old, pregnant or nursing, if you have diabetes, glaucoma, skin diseases such as Shingles, psoriasis or eczema on the area of treatment, allergies to latex, makeup, Keloid disorder, HIV/Hepatitis, skin cancer, hemophilia, or if you're taking skin medications like retinol or steroids.

We also recommend getting permanent makeup first before fillers, or ask your Juvederm / Botox specialist for clearance.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYONE’S SKIN IS DIFFERENT SO THE RESULTS VARY FROM ONE PERSON TO THE NEXT.  THIS MEANS THAT THE PIGMENT MAY FADE AND WITH SOME PEOPLE COMPLETELY DISAPPEAR, THIS IS ESPECIALLY COMMON WITH VERY OILY SKIN OR SKIN WITH LARGE PORES. YOU MUST UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A RISK YOU ARE TAKING. SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP IS AN ART AND NOT A SCIENCE SO IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ALTHOUGH 95% OF CLIENTS HAVE A SUCCESSFUL PROCEDURE, SOME DON’T.  SOME PEOPLE’S SKIN JUST DOES NOT RETAIN THE PIGMENT SO IT FADES PARTIALLY AND/OR FULLY AND THAT IS A MAJOR RISK YOU ARE TAKING.

YOU WILL BE GIVEN A CONSENT FORM WHEN YOU ARRIVE FOR YOUR CONSULTATION WHICH WILL OUTLINE THIS MORE IN DETAIL, BUT IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS PRIOR, PLEASE EMAIL US BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR CONSULTATION OR APPOINTMENT.
